Above right: A fabulous way to get to the beach on the banks of Lake Erie. An all aluminum 6'0" diameter stair was built as an all-weld (one-piece) system, wrapped around a massive, 6 5/8" diameter, thick-wall center pole. Checker plate treads were added for a skid resistant walk surface. To add the finishing touch, a durable powder-coat, satin black finish was applied.

This is where we showcase installed creative metal. If you have Custom Iron metal balusters, panels, or a stair you're particularly proud of, send us a picture and we'll feature it in an upcoming Custom Iron Connection. If we made a spiral or curving stair and it looks fabulous in your setting, send us a picture of it! Hot Iron
The newest addition to the Custom Iron web site is the “Hot Iron” page. This is where we will be announcing new products, telling about shows we'll attend and other “hot” subjects that might interest you. Check back often to see what's hot.

The Tradition Continues
To begin, we are reintroducing an old friend, an expanded offering of custom welded rail built in the tradition of old world craftsmanship and hand forged metal. Here is a quick design tip if you are stumped while trying to create unique metalwork for your house or garden: flip through the Panel and Baluster sections in our catalog and select a design that inspires you. Using one of these as a starting point, we can help create a one-of-a-kind piece.
